Events & Festivals

Framed by massive 300-million-year-old red sandstone monoliths, Red Rocks sits in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just 10 miles west of downtown Denver. The 9,500-seat venue opened officially in 1941, but informal concerts have taken place here since 1906. Talents ranging from the Grateful Dead to U2 have taken advantage of the venue’s exceptional natural acoustics and eye-popping splendor, and just in the past year, such diverse acts as Lauryn Hill, David Byrne, Yo-Yo Ma, and Nas and Black Star have performed here under a canopy of twinkling stars.
