Lincoln Home National Historic Site
The Lincoln Home has been completely restored to its 1860 appearance. Visitors come to gain more knowledge of Lincoln’s personal life and family – seeing Lincoln as a husband and father. Run by the National Park Service, Lincoln Home rests inside a historic four-block neighborhood and is surrounded by historic exhibits where visitors can experience the “old-time” feel of what Springfield was like. With plenty of sights, architecture, and memorabilia, the Lincoln Home complements the story of Abraham Lincoln.
