Palm Desert/Springs
I love giraffes!

Palm Springs Art Museum – Established in 1938, the Palm Springs Art Museum has become the center of the desert’s art community. What began as a museum about the desert has evolved into an oasis for the arts with Modern and Contemporary American works, Contemporary California painting and sculpture, Studio Art Glass and Classic Western American Art. The modern building, designed by renowned California architect E. Stewart Williams, is the focal point of the 125,000-square-foot complex that also houses collections of Native American and Mesoamerican Art.

The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens – Whether you’re an animal lover or a plant lover, The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens is an incredible oasis in the Palm Desert. Of all their offerings, we recommend taking this safari and animal encounter tour. The Animal Encounter includes 30 minutes with your chosen animal and their keeper. Feedings and trainings are available on select tours and select times; it all depends on the animal’s cooperation. (They are wild animals, after all!)

All Safari Tours include: admission into the park, your own personal guide and personal tram with shaded and cushioned seats, exclusive showing of the District Commissioner’s House, viewing of all the exhibits and our state of the art Animal Hospital. But do plan your trip; this special tour must be requested 12 days in advance.
