Shop America Alliance, the travel trade organization dedicated to promoting shopping, dining and cultural travel as the top tourism activities since 1998, has announced new strategic partnerships with Outletbound.com, the #1 Google ranked web site for outlet shopping in the USA, and Crossbordershopping.ca, the #1 shopping tourism site for the Canadian cross border shoppers.
Outletbound is an industry pioneer in Outlet Shopping marketing in both print and digital formats. Outletbound founder Randy Marks launched the site in 1999. With its impressive depth and breadth of content, Outletbound.com has attracted a loyal long-term following. A revamp of the site is currently underway with an exciting new look, updated content, smart phone and tablet optimization, social media and enhanced cooperative marketing opportunities. All will be previewed at ONE Travel Conference for Shopping, Dining and Cultural Tourism, February 5-7, 2013 at the Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. The new Outletbound.com will relaunch in Q1 2013.
Crossbordershopping.ca is the top shopping tourism web site for Canadians interested in cross border shopping in the USA and a strategic partner with Shop America Alliance.
Through this new strategic partnership, Shop America Alliance and Crossbordershopping.ca will partner with Outletbound to revamp and enhance outletbound.com and develop a sustainable resource for both consumers and outlet partners. This strategic alignment will also promote the USA Outlet Shopping Festival, a new national consumer event, planned for May 24-27, 2013, with editorial and promotional banners on Outletbound.com, ShopAmericaTours.com and Crossbordershopping.ca.
“We are excited to partner with Outletbound.com and Crossbordershopping.ca,” states Rosemary McCormick, President of Shop America Alliance. “They are excellent marketers, integral to promoting outlet shopping and successful promotion of the new USA Outlet Shopping Festival in partnership with Outlet Marketing Alliance (OMA). Outletbound.com will also market Shop America Tours at participating outlet centers and retailers. Outletbound.com and Crossbordershopping.ca will both be participants at the ONE Travel Conference. These partnerships will expand our reach to thousands of new consumers each month.”
Randy Marks, founder of Outletbound and partner of Outletbound LLC states: “This new partnership provides the resources and expertise to completely update our website and provide expanded marketing opportunities to outlet center developers and retailers. The new Outletbound.com will provide free basic listing information of all outlet centers and retailers along with exceptionally cost efficient opportunities for enhanced marketing.”
Stephen Fine, Founder of Crossbordershopping.ca and partner of Outletbound LLC states: “Outlet retail is the fastest growing category of USA shopping per Value Retail News and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). There are currently 185 outlet centers in the USA. Canadians love value and clearly these outlet centers are destinations that we look forward to promoting.”
