The innovative new Shop America Tours Club will be previewed to tour operators, travel partners and media during the 2012 International Pow Wow in Los Angeles, California.
The Shop America Tours Club plans to launch to consumers in 2012. In announcing this exciting initiative, Rosemary McCormick, President of Shop America Alliance, McCormick says, “We have developed this club to offer a one-stop resource to reward and delight shoppers and travelers with discounts, deals, gifts, experiences, information, ideas and incentives. We are inviting consumers worldwide who enjoy shopping and travel to join and reap the many benefits that membership in this new club offers.”
“The Shop America Tours Club is designed to be fun, creative, entertaining and informative. It will appeal to those with a busy, active lifestyle, providing the most current information on shopping trends, fashionable experiences and valuable savings,” McCormick says in further describing the club’s concept. The Shop America Tours Club will provide two membership options: Free Basic Membership open to all includes Daily Deals, Tips & Trends Enews/Blog, a subscription to Shop America Magazine and The Cultural Traveler guide plus opportunities to enter to win shopping and dining getaways. Red Carpet Membership with an annual fee of $39 includes all of the benefits of a Free Basic Membership along with extra values and perks including a Retail or Restaurant Gift Card, discounts on Shop America Tours and The Cultural Traveler Packages and invitations to VIP openings and special events such as the USA Outlet Shopping Festival, Friends and Family Events and more. The Shop America Tours Club also plans to engage members in dialogue with periodic surveys and will offer a Q&A service to its members to help improve their shopping and travel experiences. Partners in this new club include the Shop America Alliance members representing hundreds of the top shopping centers, outlets, retailers, brands and shopping destinations. Additional partners include US Cultural & Heritage Tourism Marketing Council, Outlet Marketing Alliance, TaxFree Shopping in Texas and Louisiana, Museum Store Association (with 1,300 shops) and more. Travel partners will include tour operators, Amtrak, Super Shuttle, Avis, Gray Line plus leading hotels and airlines. The Shop America Club will be promoted online, via social media and will also link to international shopping websites including Somewhere2Shop in the UK and CrossBoarderShoping.ca in Canada.
